About Mobile Search Results
Why check mobile results separately?
Google has indexed the mobile version of the web for years now, and the results it returns on a phone are genuinely not the same list it returns on a desktop. Ordering differs, and so does what appears alongside the organic results.
Most people checking a ranking do so on a laptop, which means most people are checking the version of the page that fewer of their visitors will ever see. For a great many queries the majority of searches happen on a phone.
A mobile SERP checker closes that gap without needing a device, by asking for the results as a mobile user agent would receive them.
What changes on a phone
The list itself is only part of the difference. Four things matter more on mobile than they do on a desktop:
- Far less fits above the fold, so position three can mean a scroll rather than a glance.
- Ads and AI Overviews take proportionally more of the screen.
- Local results carry more weight, since mobile queries are more often nearby-intent.
- Page speed and layout stability affect both ranking and whether a visitor stays.
Taken together, those mean a strong desktop position can convert to very little mobile traffic - and the only way to see that is to look at the mobile page.
How to use it
Run the same keyword here and on the desktop checker and compare the two lists side by side. Where they agree, the query is stable; where they diverge, the divergence is telling you something about intent.
Pay particular attention to which competitors gain positions on mobile. A site that climbs on a phone usually has faster, cleaner pages, and that is a repeatable advantage rather than a lucky one.
Location matters more here too, so set it deliberately rather than leaving the default if the query has any local dimension at all.
Mobile search in 2026
The share of searches happening on phones has been the majority for long enough that treating mobile as the secondary case is simply out of date. For local, retail and how-to queries it is overwhelmingly the primary one.
AI Overviews compound the effect. On a small screen a generated summary can occupy the entire first view, so being cited within it matters more on mobile than anywhere else.
None of that changes the fundamentals of ranking. It changes how much a given rank is worth, which is why the mobile list deserves checking on its own terms.
What this tool checks
Enter a keyword and a location and the tool returns the top 10 organic Google results as they are served to a mobile device, in order, with the title and URL of each.
The lookup is made fresh for the keyword and location you choose, so it reflects the current mobile ordering rather than a stored position.
Where to go next
Mobile results reward pages that load quickly and behave on a small screen. Compare the same keyword on
デスクトップ, then check whether your own page holds up with the
mobile responsive test and the
Core Web Vitals test.
