About Bing Search Results
Why check Bing at all?
Bing is a smaller search engine than Google, and that is usually where the thinking stops. What it misses is that Bing traffic is not distributed like Google traffic - it skews towards desktop, towards Windows, and towards older and higher-income users, which for some businesses is exactly the audience worth having.
It also feeds more than itself. Yahoo results are Bing-derived, DuckDuckGo draws on Bing, and Bing has been a source for several AI assistants - so a Bing position quietly influences visibility well beyond bing.com.
A Bing SERP checker takes about the same time as checking Google, and for a market you have never looked at it can be genuinely revealing.
How Bing results differ
The two engines agree on a lot and diverge in ways that are fairly consistent:
- Bing weighs exact keyword matches in titles and on-page text more heavily.
- Older, established domains tend to hold their positions longer.
- Social signals appear to carry more weight than they do on Google.
- Bing indexes more slowly, so a new page takes longer to appear at all.
The practical upshot is that Bing is often easier to rank on for the same effort - and that a page missing from Bing entirely usually points at an indexing problem rather than a quality one.
How to read the results
Compare the list against Google for the same keyword. Sites that appear on both are doing something broadly right; sites that appear only on Bing are often older domains coasting on authority.
If your own site ranks well on Google and is absent here, check that Bing can actually crawl it before assuming anything about content quality. Bing Webmaster Tools is free and will usually tell you within minutes.
Where Bing looks less competitive than Google for a commercially useful term, that gap is worth taking seriously rather than dismissing on volume alone.
Bing and AI search in 2026
Bing has spent the last few years far closer to the centre of AI search than its market share would suggest, both through its own assistant features and by supplying results to others.
That makes a Bing position worth more than the raw click numbers imply. Visibility there can feed answers surfaced somewhere else entirely, under a name most users would never associate with Bing.
It is not a reason to prioritise Bing over Google. It is a reason to stop treating it as irrelevant.
What this tool checks
Enter a keyword and a location and the tool returns the top 10 organic Bing results, in order, with the title and URL of each.
The lookup is made fresh for the keyword and location you choose rather than read from stored rankings.
Where to go next
Bing is most informative next to the other engines. Run the same keyword on
Google and on
Yahoo, which draws on Bing, and check nothing is blocking crawlers with the
robots.txt checker.
